My kid is playing Umamusume: Pretty Horse Derby, so I obviously had to make them watch YOU NEVER CAN TELL (1951), in which Joyce Holden plays a reincarnated race horse named Golden Harvest.

Feeling like my co-editor and I manifested the existence of the SNW Henson puppet episode. We should only use our powers for good. #booksky

Tonight's movie - BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK (1955). Really wish I could find a physical copy of this one for my lifetime learners, but at least it's streaming on Criterion.

Here's the daylily bed in my backyard garden. I love daylilies because they are very hard to kill, even in the terrible weather and soil we have here. I hope you can be like a daylily and bloom in spite of everything, too.

A LEGO build for May the 4th - I called this one "Be My BBY" because it's funny (even though I know perfectly well that Han and Leia don't kiss until much later).

Flashback to London in January - we had such a good time seeing plays, touring Kew Gardens, and generally avoiding US news for a week.

Proof of spring in the garden - the green peas are still coming along, but the lettuce has been excellent.
