Only made it half way through dry January.

Everyone knows what they are. They do just about enough to pretend to be a real party, but plenty enough to attract a particular voter group… and it’s working.
January 15, 2026 at 7:23 PM
That seems pretty good
January 15, 2026 at 7:08 AM
Dry January?
January 14, 2026 at 6:06 PM
With that, I agree, but it doesn’t change my point.
January 14, 2026 at 1:46 PM
I want them to succeed, but it doesn’t feel in control. U-turns should occasionally be encouraged when the facts change, but when policies haven’t fully considered arguments for and against them that is simply poor planning.
January 14, 2026 at 12:31 PM
They’re right, it can’t. They need to think through the arguments and implications of their proposals in advance. It’s fine to change your mind *sometimes* but this does not feel like a government in control.

On Tuesday’s what?
January 13, 2026 at 7:57 PM
After so many failed attempts, will the government finally support mass transit in Leeds, or does the case still need to be made that this will not just be a fleet of buses… or cancelled, again?
January 13, 2026 at 6:39 PM
Not simple, not quick, and the result of years of “peace dividend” under-funding by all governments.
January 12, 2026 at 4:15 PM
I’m shocked.
January 12, 2026 at 6:33 AM
Indeed, theoretically.
January 12, 2026 at 6:20 AM
Nothing unusual, it’s become entirely normal!
January 11, 2026 at 7:38 PM
The first one was Dances With Wolves in space but was an incredible spectacle. Didn’t need any others.
January 11, 2026 at 8:57 AM
Not seen that, but Detectorists with Toby Jones was a wonderful show - watch it if you haven’t, you will not be disappointed.
January 11, 2026 at 8:36 AM
…so there won’t be anyone going to The Hague.

It doesn’t stop them being dealt with in the US though.
January 10, 2026 at 8:11 AM
I thought the US hasn’t signed up to the ICC
January 9, 2026 at 10:41 PM
Unfollowing - the triple headlines are annoying.
January 9, 2026 at 6:17 PM
Just how bad for Trump are the rest of the Epstein files if he goes to these lengths to throw a dead cat?
January 9, 2026 at 4:54 PM
Messaging from the UK: I vote in person but postal votes are definitely allowed here.

It is true that there are occasional fraud prosecutions, but they’re rare and insignificant.
January 9, 2026 at 4:49 PM
It’s a small actor
January 8, 2026 at 10:39 PM
2026?
January 8, 2026 at 1:22 PM
Required but incapable?

UK defence procurement should no longer assume (never should have?) we will always be fighting with the US. Even if we’re not fighting *against* the US, we should be capable of independent action, which we’re not.
