The second keynote of the day was about scientific databases, presented by Dr Xavi Benito

Thank you Xavi for explaining the COST Action on open access to paleoecological databases to us✨🙌🏼

During the third part of the Paleolimnology session, we identified significant potential in using fossil pigments. We also learnt about the use of chironomids in reconstructing natural conditions and the progressive eutrophication trend in Lake Victoria

Congrats to all!! 🎉👏🏻

Camila Santoja gave the first keynote of the day. She blew us away with her hard work on how lake sediments can distinguish between tectonic and climatic signals over geological timescales⛰️✨

Thank you Camila!!!

These were the first two paleolimnology presentations of the day. We travelled from northern Saskatchewan to Patagonia🙌🏼

Good job, thank you✨

These were some of the presentations we saw today. We saw lots of diatoms, multiproxy studies, Cladoceras and PCAs.

Thank you all!✨👏🏻
