71. #DEATHBATTLE 2024-25
★★★★~

Honestly a pretty great start to the Indie Era despite how questionable the scaling can be in certain episodes.

★★★★

Not as great as the last 2 seasons, but still a fun time. First half is kind of rough, but the second half is pretty consistently entertaining.

★★

Man, that really fell apart at the end, especially in terms of pacing. Kind of a shame, since I was kinda enjoying the first half. Ah well.

I’m definitely not the target audience, but I still really enjoyed it.

Grabbed this alongside Mouthwashing, and it was a pretty fun sci-fi horror monster simulator. Definitely like how it incentivized ambushing enemies and dragging them to the shadows. Definitely recommend.

Grabbed this for Halloween, and it was fantastic. I’m still thinking about it 4 days after playing it. I absolutely recommend this game, especially if you don’t know anything about it.

★★★★

Yeah, that was genuinely pretty great. Especially animation-wise, I can’t really think of scene that didn’t at least look great. That being said, I wasn’t as emotionally moved by the romance as I thought I was going to be.

I kinda wish I got into this game sooner, because it was absolutely fantastic. Not only is exploration and combat pretty fun, but the art and music created an incredibly strong atmosphere that kept me very engaged.

Watched this with a group and it was pretty fantastic. There’s a lot to discuss and think about, especially when it comes to how it addresses social class.

It was better/funnier than I expected but not by much. Jason Momoa was the highlight though.

58. Kerrigan Has Gone Roguelike (SC2: HOTS Mod)
★★★~

Pretty fun roguelike mod, even if it’s really easy to make the game way too hard, making you have to load an earlier save.

Ok I'm admittedly only putting this here since I completed the last mission today after putting it off for years. Pretty fun tho.

56. #Starcraft II: Wings Of Liberty (Hard)
★★★★

Yeah, I think this still holds up pretty well. Most of the missions are really good and varied, though some of them are frustrating. I also love the upgrade system and free-form mission selection, makes the game incredibly replayable.

★★★~

Yep, this definitely feels like the game that became before the 2nd entry. Definitely not a fan of how rare the blue orb currency seems to be, since I was locked out of most of the upgrades due to not having enough. That being said, it's still pretty fun.

Terraria has been one of my favorite games of all time for the longest time. In my eyes, it’s a game that absolutely nails open-ended progression in a sandbox/open world. It always feels like there’s stuff to discover no matter where you are progression-wise.

Overall, I think that it's just pretty alright so far and I really hope that the issues I have with the gameplay and world-building will get better as I get further in.
August 22, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Another thing I really didn't like was the UI for the menus, as it feels very clunky and over-designed. I constantly had issues identifying what I had at a glance and kept accidentally moving to other sub-menus when I was trying to check the inventory.
August 22, 2025 at 7:03 PM
As for the stuff I didn't like, I really do not like the combat. Geralt feels obnoxiously sluggish, hitboxes feel really janky, and the end lag can be downright horrendous at times. That's not even mentioning how hitting enemies feels incredibily unsatisfying animation and sound wise.
August 22, 2025 at 7:03 PM
As for the stuff I was neutral/mixed on, I'm not really sure how I felt about the general worldbuilding. It just felt like a realistic wartorn medieval land with some fantasy monsters, magic, and superhumans. I can't even remember the name of the area or either of the two armies that well.
August 22, 2025 at 7:02 PM
I also liked how reactive the world was, with a notable example being how the villagers returned to a wrecked town after I killed the ghouls in the area.

Even if it didn't give me much else other than a extra grindstone, I still thought it was

Starting off with the positives, I liked the writing for the most part as most of the characters and the quest narratives were pretty engaging.

I also really liked being able to choose how to end off the side quests, and I kinda hope that more games will incorporate that into their own quests.
