john also just finds a lot of comfort from him for smaller things like positive physical contact and occasional quality time, since others can't stand him and often try to hurt him when he starts something. it helps him feel less like a bot and keeps his explosive anger a little more under control

he would never ever say it to 1x's face and fuel its ego but it's reassuring to feel so close(?) to something that COULD be divine, and maybe shape him into something that'd be better for 1x's 'perfect' world after all of his failures and self hatred
