Yes. People are building "catios" or penning the cats in on their patio or yard to save the wildlife. I've seen some interesting window bump-outs for city cats.
Some countries have a cat curfew or have banned outdoor cats. They're excellent hunters.

Cats can be so human-like, especially the older they get and the bond is stronger. I would have been concerned about behavior changes, because veterinary medicine is so tricky. Pets can't tell us when they're sick, so we have to read the signs sometimes. Yours cycled back in March...interesting!

Cats are great pets for people who sleep in shifts, because they tend to be nocturnal.

People would go to bed shortly after sunset, around 8, 9 o’clock. After 2 or 3 hours of sleep, they'd naturally wake up. During this time, people would engage in a variety of activities. Then they would return for their second sleep which typically lasted until dawn.
It's not a sleep disorder.
