When politicians say that autonomy under Moroccan rule is the only reasonable solution for the future of Western Sahara, they seem to forget that WS has been occupied by Morocco for 50 years, and Saharawi people have been systematically oppressed under an apartheid regime. That is not peace.

If you have the privilege of knowing the Saharawi people, you know their perseverance and their firm belief in a better future, even with each betrayal they remain hopeful. After 50 years, it is time the people of Western Sahara can finally be free to choose their future.

“Nothing for us without us”. Not Morocco, not France, not Spain, and certainly not Donald Trump can unilaterally decide the fate of the Saharawi people. The future of Western Sahara belongs to them, and it is about time their voice and their vote is finally heard.

The Tunisian caravan Soumoud heading to Gaza to put an end to the blockade is such a strong symbol for hope and the power of solidarity ! Full admiration for Tunisian women and men who are leading this.
