BlueSky and Threads both have keyword blocking and it's really helped me. Every time some new bullshit blows up and every nob can't resists posting about it 100 times a day, just block the name of the relevant politician/topic/dickhead and peace will reign once more.

How is it broken? What's a bucket here?

That's fine, it's an extremely overrated series.

Microsoft has said that systems installed that way may stop being able to get updates at some point. Which deterred me from doing it. I've seen a fair few people saying it's not a big deal if you don't get updates, perhaps they don't realise that it means security updates as well as feature updates.

Oh yes, I realise Hitchhiker's wasn't actually CG, but it was intended to look like it, and I loved the style.

Max Headroom, another classic of early CG. I really believed he was CG but apparently he was a bloke in makeup!

To say I was obsessed with that TV show when I was 12 world be a huge understatement. Brilliant work.

Colloquially, maybe, but in mathematical terms, there is no infinite quantity there. If I have one coconut I don't have infinitely more than someone who has none.

1/7.5 million is not infinitely more than 0. It's only 0.0000001 more.

Come on people, it's Spinal Tap, What's wrong with you?
Also worth noting that Harry Shearer, voice of Mr Burns, plays the bass player. I assume people know who Mr Burns is? No? Homer Simpson then, You've heard of him right? No? Baby shark? Is that your level?

I'm fine with the sound of cheap digital music.

What seems to be happening is that people who are at risk of spiralling into mental illness turn to ChatGPT, and it kicks them into the abyss.

Yes, obviously, since no rich person would ever admit such a thing.

If hard work was a guarantee of enormous wealth nearly everyone would be on the rich list. But it isn't. That kind of wealth is 100% luck.

People are too fond of their phones. The way to be really classy is to leave the damn things at home.

Exactly, and if you're in a union, actually bother to vote for strike action when balloted.

I didn't find his sitcom funny in the slightest. Just could not relate to it in any way. To be honest I've never seen a live action US sitcom that was funny. Their animated comedies, on the other hand, are pretty good.

am I the only one where connecting to paired Bluetooth devices is ridiculously hit and miss? seems like the dodgiest technology ever made.

Yeah that line about there being water at the bottom of the ocean really hits hard, especially when he says, "water revolving and water removing". I know we can all relate to that.

I don't have kids but I know that if I did have kids I would never get tired and would always have time for them.

As I understand it, the U2 album was auto-downloaded. Steam doesn't download anything you didn't tell it to. I vaguely remember it might sometimes add games to your games list temporarily when there's a free weekend or something. But I only ever see what's in my Favourites so I wouldn't notice.

Why a word that's been around for 300 years should suddenly become verboten is very arbitrary.

I love listening to football phone-ins even though I dont really care about football. And I do like talking to my colleagues about it. They know I'm clueless but it gives me an opportunity to wind them up by claiming the result is basically random or mostly determined by wind direction.
