News broke today of a stunning drake Bufflehead in Killarney, a county first, thankfully I was able to travel to see it, what an absolute beauty…..!!!!!

Some quality birding in Co. Kerry in recent days with storm driven seabirds including Sabines Gull, Long tailed Skua & Wilsons Petrel, flocks of Glossy Ibis & vagrant waders including these (photos by D O’Connors) American golden Plover & Wilsons Phalarope.
