I know someone who had health insurance through the work place and when they lost their job they were able to qualify for Medicaid. They work part time, pay taxes. They are now the healthiest they have ever been. It is a program that works and should be expanded to cover all USA citizens.

Also, the EMTALA law would need to be rescinded. It is required by law for an ambulance to take you to the nearest ER for life threatening conditions. The receiving ED is required by law to keep you, no transfer to a more affordable or in-network facility, until you are stabilized.

Build on the platform of environmental justice, scientific literacy, People over profit, wealth equality, Medicare for all, rail infrastructure, and holding accountable those who have failed to uphold their oath and have broken the laws of the land with impunity, for starters.

I am all for Universal Healthcare. The funds should be managed by a fiduciary. Properly managed the funds could be more than adequate.
