A few minutes after they posted, I noticed this, and when I checked, many people (including new replies I had liked that weren't hidden when they posted) mentioning the AI image were hidden.
Cropped screenshot at the bottom of the replies, taken at the time of my current reply, with a hand-drawn red circle around "show more replies", which means the replies were hidden.

A little update : turns out the UI error I am getting is very specifically unique and I have no idea why the webpage broke on my end. This is what I'm seeing.
This specific glitch is so unique it's not happening on my other browser, and it's not happening on any of my friends' devices.
The navbar is broken, the whole post ended up halfway down a heavily padded webpage, and shoved to the left of my screen, and nothing else got rendered on the entire page. This is using a regular Firefox browser on Windows 10. Firefox private, Brave, and my friends' Firefox browsers are doing perfectly fine rendering the page correctly.

Is that the tech conglomerates who are spearheading AI are the same ones enshittifying platform after platform, and putting out slop product after slop product. And they aren't bothering to inform users how to even use things like a phone or PC.

That is unfortunately by design. They're profiting off of ignorance. If you see people like menswear guy or other people in your entourage not know how exactly AI impacts those around them, that's why. I used to wonder why more people didn't know how to use a computer. Yeah no that's on purpose. It makes me angry. I wish it wasn't that way, and my career choice in the tech field is likely going to be geared towards addressing that, in some capacity anyway. I don't blame you for being upset. It IS upsetting to learn these companies are going around doing Whatever and getting away with it.

Hii!! I enjoyed reading your article, at first I approached it wondering how anyone could build a healthy relationship with AI, but after having read your article, I understand now.

By the way, there's a part where you didn't add a ⏹️ sign :(
The author uses the fast-forward and stop signs to signal to the reader when to skip more technical bits that are optional to read through without losing any value from reading. Here, there is no stop sign present and the reader posting this wonders if that wasn't a mistake.
