Life there is probably hard and cruel and vicious but who knows, maybe everyone is super happy. They must have laws and legends and hierarchies but we don't know about them.

started thinking about them again recently because they're making a MOVIE about it ugh). I think what if he had some disease and it wiped them all out? A guy tried to make contact this year (illegally) and saw no signs of them (which is probably why he survived to be arrested).

i meant to add more and forgot: I think about all the ways the world has changed over centuries, even in the last 100 years, and most of that has just... missed them. Wars, renaissances, the industrial revolution, this technological age. All the changes for them is the stuff that might wash up on
