Eh, I still think the writing gets the bulk of the blame. I think the prequels had a solid story - the bullet points on the rise of fascism was there, but unlike the OT, Lucas didn't let anyone help with the screenplays, too many "yes men". Too bad he didn't get Carrie as a scriptdoctor...

Very strange...

It's very good: weird, beautiful, and very intense at times. Carrie Coon is spectacular.

Once the multiverse became a thing, and all the stakes disappeared, I kinda stopped caring. I think the writing of Wanda on Dr. Strange 2 kinda killed any optimism I had that they could keep any sense of cohesion in the franchise.

I don't think it's true that there's no good Americans, but at the same time, anyone who feels the need to declare they're one of the "good ones" almost definitely isn't.
