The first venom sounds fine; however, what the inflicted Cybertonian doesn't know is that it releases a distinct "scent" that, when they're left to seek help, they do not realize they're leading Scrapticons to more prey.

To an unaware Cybertronian, the Manticore carries not one, but two types of venom.
One venom emulates the Rust Plague, and can be cured the same way. The other mimics the first venom's symptoms, but is actually the infection that causes the Scrapticon mutation.

Manticore Scrapticons are ferocious warriors who spread the infection more effectively than the other two hive variants. They have four retractable fangs that carry the venom.
(The stingers do not hold the venom. They are a foil, but still dangerous.)
