A 40-year-old congressional representative could become impaired via, say, a traumatic brain injury. While an 80-year-old congressional representative could still have sharp intellectual functioning.

Choosing age 70 as the cut-off age for a congressional member is arbitrary.
Congress clearly needs to develop a process for how to remove members if and when they become impaired and unable to perform their duties.

Ageist as hell. I vote for mandatory neurocognitive testing of all congressional and presidential candidates before they are allowed to qualify to be on the ballot.

Absolutely. Giving outrageous military grade weapons to ICE would fulfill the goal of making them his personal army.
But since this administration has a penchant for grift and illegal actions, it's firing up some cynicism on my part.

ICE doesn't need them and perhaps they will never receive them. Has it occurred to anybody else that this might be a cover for purchasing and distributing weapons to countries or organizations who cannot legally receive them from the USG?
