I have quite a few times tried to commission artists for pieces, and the most that I've gotten in the last few years is a semi-finished sketch. Even my friends that I have commissioned have ghosted me. So I've kind of just given up on trying to buy custom art so I don't keep getting burned.

I don't know what made you feel this way. But I do know this. You're not at fault for it. It's something broken in our heads that makes us feel this way.
And while it's a burden you ultimately have to carry alone, you're not alone in carrying it. And I think in some ways we're stronger for it.

But it's the only existence I've ever known. And I try to find a kind of comfort in it. Like, it's pretty bad ass that some of us can go about day to day while carrying that weight, sometimes so well that other people never even know how much of a fighter we are unless we tell them.

That constant race of "it doesn't matter if I make it through today, and tomorrow. I need to beat it every day and it only needs to win once" it at once exhausting beyond words and scary beyond measure. Even good days are tainted by it.

I can't speak to your experience, but as someone who's never not been suicidal (yes, everyone even as a young child) I've found that the fight against the desire to not exist is what gives me purpose. An enemy to battle that I hope will never claim me but sometimes feels like it's moments away.

How good it would feel to respond to something like that by pouring a drink over their head.
