Like in a sense the manga is very Furude Erika! And it’s like man wasn’t that like part of the whole issue there??? She refers to herself as an “intellectual rapist” and the manga sort of structurally engages in her exact practice!

Yeah… this is what I was talking about before it’s like interesting but frustrating and I think the VN has a lot more… grace? Which also feels very much more attuned to the themes of the work.

Yeah they usually call it Bloodhaven IIRC which was why we noticed it

I thought it was cute that they point out Chris never told them about the dimensional door because it was just normal to him so he didn’t notice. I’m sure that wasn’t about anything else this ep either!

it's also like the horniest the game has ever been I feel like besides the game's visual design like the only other characters to get vibes even remotely in this area are the popstar princess / manager knight whose fans literally ship them together. I'm gonna study every hugo/lycaon interaction now

I think it does! I think at the same time there’s like a combination of factors informing this perspective, like the idea that you’re getting something raw and authentic and emergent from when a multiplayer game first launches and they don’t know the culture of play yet, because it feels organic—

And it’s always followed by like “Aren’t you glad that we fixed it?” And it’s like no! That’s what I liked about it! I feel like there’s a deeper thought here about like “institutional capture” that I’m just not reaching but it’s so bizarre that entertainment leadership approach things like that.
