Oh believe me, you’re preaching to the choir. I grew up with my elders saying, “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain.” Not voting was NEVER an option. Just saying I’m encouraged that so many folks came out who haven’t voted before.

True, turnout (especially in primaries) leaves a lot to be desired, but these numbers are higher than they’ve ever been (and anecdotally, that’s what I saw at my polling place, too).

You have walked the walk from the beginning, and you are the real deal and a mensch. Thank you for demonstrating what a true public servant looks like. And hell yeah, Senator Lander has an awfully nice ring to it.
