I had a suspected psychotic episode and kept seeing these shapes and flowers, so I painted them. They make so much sense together.

I made a pouch for my camera! :)

I made a Birchbark container for all the beads I've been collecting :)
It's not an easy medium to work with but it smells great.
I harvested from a freshly fallen tree.

I forgot to post yesterday so here's the origami pine trees I did (although not true origami as one step required scissors)
I've been wanting to harvest birch bark for a basket but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Hopefully tomorrow, but I've been a little burnt out creatively as of late.

Day 4 of creating something everyday

The oven was in use, so I couldn't bake my wren sculpture yet. I instead spent two hours on this felt and embroidery flower with an adjustable stem.
I really enjoy this medium. Maybe I could make a whole bouquet!

Day 3 of creating something everyday

I was having a rough day so I didn't do much. I sculpted this little wren out of oven bake clay. I plan to bake and paint her tomorrow.

The recent politics have been stressing me out. I often feel hopeless, so I have to keep creating. It's all I can do.

Day 2 of creating something everyday
Today I made a cardboard loom and weaved this little tapestry using yarn.
It's a little wonky but I like it.

Day One of creating something everyday

I wanted something festive to pin on my coat, so I embroidered this holly using felt, beads, and thread.
It took me 3 hours and I loved every minute of it.

There's a spot in my neighborhood between the houses where you can see into the woods surrounding the creek.

I know that soon a house will be built here, and the ancient Burr Oaks will be cut down-- so I painted the view to immortalize it. Art helps ease the sadness of loss.
Done in gouache :)

Thought I'd share this rat fella I drew on Ibispaint :)
He's based off a sculpture that I made. I don't know what his story is yet, but I do know that he likes gardening a lot.

Just finished a landscape! I forced myself to slow down and pace this one out, as usually I want to do the whole thing in one sitting.

The view is from a native prairie not far from me. I used gouache on Arches paper :)

Trying out a new technique
. . .
Gouache on cotton paper
I'm a huge fan of unusual art and nature. Hoping to someday combine them to create something new!
Anyways this is my first post so Hello everyone!
