I had a couple of kids ask what type of music it was. And a couple who mentioned that they had heard The Girl from Ipanema before. I’m a bit surprised the Spanish speaking kids (more than half the students) didn’t ask about the Portuguese language.

I sort of listened to this album a half-dozen times today. I played it for my middle school art students every period.

It is incredible, just so different from the Stones albums that came before and after it. It is a bit of an outlier (albeit a good one) in the discography.

Based on your post, I gave the album a stream and I am really impressed. It is now on my list of albums to look for. It reminds me of Elliott Smith’s Figure 8 album. Thanks.
