The textures on this is almost convincing that it isn't digital.
So far what I'm getting is that there are few things that makes it more painterly, and they are:
REALLY Limited colors
Textures
LOST edges - this is beyond soft edge.

I'm starting to think that this is a journey towards "personal style" — Which is interesting because I don't believe that you can't pick a style, the style picks you, and you eventually find it.

On the same vein as the past studies, again trying to aim for a more painterly feel and less photo one. I think that it's halfway there... the orange is very painterly, but the rest screams photo to me.

Decided to try some different brushes and did a quick study of a painting. The brushes work great for portrait, but I'm wondering how I would handle it on a less "controlled" environment.
