Someone on Wikihow had beef with me. The more things change
A user message sent to me in response to the article Have Fun During a Detention: Please adjust your article or take down the article completely. You are doing a disservice to students and teachers, especially administrators. Detention is not meant to be fun. Instead, I would suggest you teach students how to behave properly in detention, how to make use of one's time. How to learn about delayed gratification, meditation, and self-control. Some of your suggestions are particularly irritating, and I understand that this "how to" may be tongue in cheek but the wikiHow website as to my knowledge, is not a comedy website nor a parody website and I've yet to read a satirical wikiHow manual. Some of your suggestions may be appropriate, such as doing homework or writing stories.
