Fair. I guess I could amend my statement to say they gave me characters I cared about more than any other characters in the series. While the story is better than most, I think it's the way the characters were brought to life this time that really grabbed me. You know, besides the awesome hunts. Lol

Exactly this.
I get it, Capcom created the best story in the IP's history, but the on-rails moments were a little off-putting. I didn't feel like I could focus on what was being said while simultaneously grabbing herbs, bugs, and materials from my Disney-ride Seikret.

I made this mistake in 2016. Didn't like Trump or Clinton, didn't want to be responsible for either entering office.
