You’re one of the good ones Mark but based on how hard your billionaire friends have fought the most conservative solution (the ACA) Medicare for all is the only alternative left and you will need to eat the cost the same way I am eating $2500 premiums that don’t cover $600 meds. From experience medicaid insurance is great and copays and deductibles suck. M4A is the only way. Gov can build hospitals like they do for the VA if business doesn’t like it.

People arguing about soda as a snap benefit are extremely out of touch. Let them drink soda = let them eat cake and they won’t even do that. We should just have UBI. As AI and robots take over jobs, the filthy rich owners of the AI and robots need to pony up taxes and allow basic service to happen.

I applaud your first sentence. The second one is depressing though and that sentiment leads to defeatism on par with timidity.
Focus on the ones with courage because there are some. Vote for more like that.

We need unity and this podcast underscores that. While it’s important for us to not have purity tests for our politicians, we need them to stand together with minority groups and not adopt the language of bigotry by going against “woke“ or going after trans people. Repolarizing instead of centrism.
