I just got back in from gardening which is what you do in Texas when it's 80° outside. I actually don't mind it. Husband and kids say it's "gross" that it's so hot at Christmas

No one ever believes me but my mother made figgy pudding every Christmas without fail for 30+ years and it's awesome. It's more like a super moist cake that steams in the oven and you add whipped cream. I once looked up the recipe but it is too involved for me #bakesky #baking

With both my kids I got 12 weeks unpaid leave after each birth, and had to put them in daycare full time when they were each 3 mo old. If I am being honest, I am still resentful that I was in that difficult situation. I can't beat myself up or go back in time. I needed to work for $ & had no choice

Went to a restaurant last night that was just fancy enough to make me uncomfortable. I'm very low maintenance & tend to stick to American family restaurants. Last night was small plates/portions, craft cocktails & I didn't recognize anything on the menu. But I went w/ a friend so it was still fun 🧵

Dtr confessed to ringing the doorbell of a random house & running away w/ her friends. Much to their surprise, the owners came out screaming & scared my dtr to death. Thus began our fun family lesson of "we live in "open carry" Texas and you did what?!?!?!"
