I understand that a rule of politics is to run on tax increase, better yet, tax reductions. When will a politician treat us as adults and lay out a plan to really reduce the deficit and balance a budget - that, gasp is pragmatic and real, a plan that includes targeted increases to save this nation?

I am struggling with friends,people I care for,that I have witnessed have compassion for others and integrity…who voted for and continue to support this administration.They are in the Fox cult, dismiss facts as fake news,thou I don’t challenge them,it would make no difference. Anyone else the same?

Morning musings- we hear continuously that the economy is in shambles due to inflation. A perspective is that we are a nation of consumers and have added “necessities” to our lives - streaming, mobile, food delivery, 200$ stripes in our hair. We all can make choices.

So, our death to woke governor in Florida is refusing 259 million federal $ to feed children when school is out. Our state maintains, no problem here, yet studies show 800k kids went hungry last summer. I guess the “woke” remain on the hook to pay federal taxes AND to stock food banks

24+ hours into my NY’s resolution - to not look at (hence not comment) on the comment section on social media. I did go out with a bang in 2024, commenting on a flu/COVID/data post that triggered many science deniers, so I have that! Only 364 days to go 🤦♀️

our media is disappointing- just echo chambers. I looked at CNN and Fox online - (aside from the bias) the top ten stories are unique to each page. Easy to see how those who rely on these sources become so polarized. And snap if you snark at a Fox story you get some wicked/creepy comments!

My sense of righteousness and justice knows no bounds as I slay bots and magats commenting on FB - just a morning exercise to raise my blood pressure..I have very low blood pressure so this helps me from wobbling when I stand up
