I sometime make chiptune music and programming related stuff, otherwise I mostly ramble about life and shitpost when I am bored late at night.
Holy shit, it is actually capable of displaying PAL in Full Colour!

There is a big gap starting from the top of the screen, but other than that, it just works, cool!

Anyway, back to the thing I wanted to play around with a couple of days ago, before I was forced to unfuck my computer.

Sketch 101 with Two-Tone Modulation.

What the fuck is going on there???

There's so many weird things broken with Solus lately it's getting ridiculous at this point.

I swear to fucking God, if I find out later that they started to use Vibe Coding for their Commits I might seriously consider distrohopping for the first time since 2017.

O-oh, would you look at that!

This might actually explain quite a lot of things regarding the laptop performance issues.

It's like... running the entire computer in Software because it's unable to properly initialise the Graphics Driver, I think...?

Dude this is so bad, what the fuck 😹

This is not normal at all...

What the fuck is going on with this computer???

And yes, the Disk Writing is happening EVEN without anything running, the Screen Recorder is NOT the cause of it right now!

I mean, this is literally the second search result so you can see my confusion back then, lmao
November 12, 2025 at 1:37 AM
Yep, it looks like it's officially Winter where I live.
November 10, 2025 at 11:41 AM
Okay, I had to double check because I really was unsure if this did do much of an improvement, and surorisingly, I would say that yes indeed, this is getting the job done after all!

Now I'm pretty sure I'm finally ready to render the Oscilloscope View out of it. 🐱

It looks like the Polycounter Timing Reset might have worked perfectly on Real Hardware!

Topmost Track is Master Audio, recorded during Pass 1, which is essentially the full Playback with all Channels enabled.

Subsequent Tracks are the Individual Channels, recorded during Passes 2 to 5.

Nice! 🐱

Finally, Audacity decided to cooperate!

Now we record and wait :3c
November 10, 2025 at 7:19 AM
It's not like it's stuck searching for its own plugins right now, none of that non-sense.

Sigh...
November 10, 2025 at 7:08 AM
Dude this is so sharp, what the hell, that's actually amazing!
November 10, 2025 at 6:44 AM
Well, anyway, I accidentally figured out how to display my Atari 800XL very nicely on my shitty tiny LCD HDTV, so that's pretty nice!

I'm legit wondering how it will behave with my PAL machine plugged in...

I need to test that later and see for myself lol
November 10, 2025 at 6:42 AM
Lol the audacity of this bitch, immediately after I had to work around the fucked update crashes, amazing timing! 😹
November 10, 2025 at 5:44 AM
FINALLY!

Managed to find what caused the problem instead of just trying to revert updates, and now I can at least use my computer.

Had to force a Reset of the Budgie Panel customisation.

RIP all my nice layout and shit, but like, I can always remake it later.
November 10, 2025 at 4:16 AM
Wow, this is actually hilarious, I never knew this was a thing!
November 10, 2025 at 3:59 AM
Duuuuuude, what the fuck is this recursive bullshit?

I can in fact install shit with no issue, but I'm still unable to re-install the very thing I absolutely need right now to perform an downgrade to the last functional state, ughhhhjhhhhhhhhh...
November 10, 2025 at 3:57 AM
Well fuck you too I guess... 😹
November 10, 2025 at 3:54 AM
Hmmm this might be recoverable now if I can just install this thing...

I have no idea why they straight up removed it from my system during the update but if this lets me revert to the previous update after that I might still be able to use my computer, hopefully.
November 10, 2025 at 3:51 AM
??????????????
November 10, 2025 at 3:43 AM
Hahahhaha this is the funniest shit ever!

I literally cannot do anything to fix my system using the intended route it looks like.
November 10, 2025 at 3:36 AM
Dude what the fuck?????

I swear to fucking god this is the most stupid bullshit whatsoever to happen with a Linux update tonight...

So now I literally cannot revert updates because a very important package needed to run eopkg was straight up removed during the most recent update, wonderful.
November 10, 2025 at 3:27 AM
Sigh...

Fuck my life, lol
