Tinta Barroca is a Portuguese grape mainly used in Port wines. Thrives in hot climates, producing smooth, fruity reds with high alcohol. Often blended for balance. Rich in blackberry & plum flavors. A hidden gem in Portugal’s vineyards! #Wine #Portugal #TintaBarroca #Grapes

Training: Selected scents typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. 1. Blind smell & made notes 2. Find out what the vials are scented like 3. Pour a Cab Sauv to experience the smells & flavors. What are similar and what other notes are there? This is fun, but challenging!

Did you know that grapevines are vulnerable to pests like phylloxera and diseases like powdery mildew? Phylloxera nearly wiped out Europe’s vineyards in the 19th century! Today, resistant rootstocks and careful vineyard management help protect the vines. #WineGrapes #VineyardPests #Winemaking

Wines By Farquhar 2021 #barossavalley #lagrein a great example of #emergingvarieties thriving in Oz. Deep, almost black in colour, aromas of dark plums with a dash of spice & musk on the bouquet. Round, rich, deep flavours on the palate, subtly elegant & sophisticated.
VERY CLASSY
