He just seems to be instead rewarding awful behaviour with money, which I really can't get my head around.
My controversial opinion is that Musk was kind of onto something by making it easier to monetise on Twitter. What if users who passed some kind of verification were then rewarded for positive (truthful, insightful etc.) posts which attract advertising to the platform with a cut of ad revenue?
