There’s something almost poetic in watching a man who fancies himself as unyielding, a dominant force to be reckoned with get so thoroughly outplayed. Moreover,he doesn’t even realize it’s happening, strutting through his defeat, oblivious to the humiliation.

In an increasingly secular and diverse society, why should everyone, regardless of belief have their schedules dictated by religious observances? These holidays assume a cultural buy in some don’t share. Giving people an extra week leave to use as they choose = tradition whilst respecting autonomy.

This protest in the world’s largest coal exporting port exemplifies the risks people will take to get across the crisis our planet faces. 170 people have been arrested for safety reasons. I hope the irony is not lost on the police or government. A+ for hypocrisy.
