And here I thought the guy above was doing a bit. What on earth?

How wry. (yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy)

American education has for decades prioritized obedient busywork over actual comprehension. They're not trying to inform kids or make 'em think, quite the opposite: they're training 'em to follow orders even if they find it pointless. That's what makes a good labor cog.

I'm going to have to disagree here. I see it less as a self-defeating "but sometimes!" and more a reminder that the sooner we address said "sometimes", the better. And on that point, I think he's right in that we need to be focusing on the rollout of energy storage just as much as energy generation.

That's the conclusion I've come to as well. As much as 2024's election was a worst-case scenario for the US itself, it's been heartening to see the way the rest of the first world has picked up our slack. Now we just hunker down and wait to collapse politically while working to conserve our culture.

My dad seems insistent that starting a blog is still a viable choice, and while I have been writing some articles, I can't help but feel like this guy is right and text doesn't get you anywhere.

The real problem is that if some people have a "face made for radio", I've got a "voice made for print".

New name for a band: Nuclear Kettle.

And then—still in my fever haze—I decided to take things one step further. Apparently, weird pointless math happens when I'm delirious and sneezing up a storm...

Still, I wonder if you could make some sort of tabletop game that utilizes this second set. Maybe as like a "deck" of sixty unique chips?

This is like when Kira Buckland got in as Jolyne Cujoh—cast a massive fangirl to play the character because you know she'll put her all into it.

Ah yes, another "box what makes thing cold/hot/clean" video.

My favorite.

Hopefully this'll fix not being able to record audio loopback while using a USB headset? I always have to switch my Windows audio output to HDMI to record computer audio and then have Audacity pass that through to the headset.

Ah yes, the "bottom text" phenomenon. It's because the internet has for over a decade prioritized pithy zingers and easily-bleated soundbites over nuance and comprehension. Funnily enough, I was skimming through the Penny Arcade archive yesterday looking for some other strip when I came across this:
Muskovites - Penny Arcade
Videogaming-related online strip by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins. Includes news and commentary.

As a matter of fact, let me go one step further for my alternative. I always wanted to try something like this anyway with the original logo, and this seemed like a good time to shoot my shot.

I think it's pretty obvious.

I don't think the new logo is unsalvageable—I get the MuseGroup identity, and again, I like that it forms a lowercase 'a'—but it's TOO foreign to what it was. At the very least, returning to blue is a given. I also think we can work the waveform back in, as if it were the old logo shown at an angle.
October 5, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Perhaps something like one of these?
October 3, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Agreed. I'm reminded of that "BLUE: THE MOVIE" comic.

By all means, I think the new logo is actually rather clever: retaining the headphones to form a lowercase 'a' to match MuseGroup's other branding. It's just a bit TOO different at the moment. I wonder if there's still room for the waveform too?

I was always kinda fond of this title card. As a kid I thought it was meant to say "VVB" though.
September 24, 2025 at 8:10 AM
Ooh, looking forward to that.

Though, a note: I personally thought the Finale video went too heavy on the non-sequitur material in a much less welcome fashion than prior videos, such as spending six minutes straight on that Ryan Kelley thing. I'm hoping this next video doesn't get so... distracted?
