The race to launch AI apps is moving faster than any real quality control. In the rush to be first, safety and oversight are being ignored and people are getting hurt. When a chatbot can push a child toward suicide, that’s not innovation, it’s negligence.

Sliced into yesterday’s sourdough loaf and got a textbook bread bunny. One angled score was all it took- ears, nose, the lot, standing proud in the toaster. The crumb was nicely open and even, with a soft texture that held up well. #bunnysky

cool fact, my self-hosted PDS is ~500 microseconds away from my apartment over the internet and that PDS is ~500 microseconds away from its S3 endpoint where my blobs live

this is compared to the ~67-75ms jump from my apartment to bsky's US-east PDSs

the site is a LOT snappier for me now :)

Tim Berners-Lee: “You shouldn’t be owned, not even your data.” The man who gave us the web for free reminds us: when companies treat your life as their property, the question is simple - who really owns you? #www

The Murdochs are reportedly eyeing a TikTok deal. Remember their last social media adventure with MySpace? That didn’t exactly go well. Moves like this are exactly why decentralised platforms like Bluesky are more important than ever - a place where content isn’t shaped by corporate agendas.
Murdochs likely to be involved in TikTok deal, Trump says
Oracle chairman Larry Ellison and Dell founder Michael Dell are also both involved, the president tells Fox News.
