Proud mom with twin babies? Chacma baboon females give birth after a gestation period of about six months, usually to one newborn at a time. Twins have been recorded but are a rare occurrence. (Shingwedzi, Nov 2024)

The African Hoopoe is certainly a favourite of mine and always a pleasure to observe and photograph. This little beauty didn't know whether to have its crest up or not so it was a period of uncertainty during the photo shoot!

To survive the ever evolving dangers of the African savanna, the lioness must prove resourceful when her belly aches to gorge. However, for the young warthog on the other end of that equation, even a 3-inch fang through the skull is no ringer despite it's futile attempts to flee the strangers grasp

A BROOD ABOVE

An ostrich chick looks like an odd combination of a hedgehog, a serval, and a velociraptor.

This delightful scene is currently unfolding here on the plains below the Chyulu Hills: a brood of 18 ostrich chicks.

Leopard of the day. Apparently and appropriately named Muhle (meaning, nice, beautiful, superb).

Sometimes on game drive in the Kruger you can travel huge distances without seeing much and then this happens. 🐾🐾

Impala cautiously drinking water.💦1🦌
Its been severely hot weather in the Kruger lately as we anticipate the rainy season's start. Impala, much like the Giraffe, always look so awkward to me when drinking water. With the Crocs always lurking you cant blame them.
