Not gonna post spoilers on opening night but I AM very curious where the third film will go. These two movies felt like a very concise story but there's one big swing that changes everything and I'm not sure how it's gonna work.

I'd also say, the climax of the film says something that I don't think is Cregger's intention, and kind of undercuts the point of the rest of the film. Didn't think it ruined the movie for me by any means. This doesn't beat out most of the horror I've seen this year but so good I'll see it again...

He also delivers a message that was very well done and obvious, so much so that I wish he'd trusted it. To be as specific as I can without spoiling, the fourth wall basically gets broken by a big PNG in the sky telling you what the metaphor of the movie is about...

I like when horror is straightforward, but I also found myself underwhelmed in comparison to the raving that movie generated.

Weapons, on the other hand, is no fucking joke and lives far and away up to the hype. Cregger's comedy shines without drowning the tension (except maybe at one part)...
