Nowadays it’s impossible to play everything, and anyway what resonates with someone is very personal. Depends on your tastes and skills of course but the timing in your life you play, in what order, all have an influence.

Yes, it's equivalent to using "be able" or "can"/"could" in English.

For example in Swift you have recently been able to "open" an existential type (in Swift `any MyProto`, in Rust `&dyn MyTrait`) and pass it to a method accepting a generic parameter of that prototype `T: MyProto` github.com/swiftlang/sw... (type systems differences might made it harder in Rust).

Reading you blog about dyn makes me think a lot about what's possible in Swift (which you quickly mention).
