I have a theory about the tariffs. They have nothing to do with economics, fentanyl or immigrants. These are just excuses; a smoke screen. The real purpose is to cripple Mexico and Canada politicians such that Trump can have greater level of control over our societies.

I am a software developer. I used windows from 1995 -> 2022. Over all those 27 years, it was nothing but pain and grief. Countless hours trying to fix stuff. Then with windows 11, my sons arm twisted me into a MacBook Pro. It is perfect, everything just works. No Pain, no grief.

Watched some interviews tonight about being 51st state. I had always thought that Canadians were generally better educated than Americans, but holy moses, there are some total fuckwits in Canada. Zero understanding of economics. Zero idea how US politics and government works. Total morons.

Politicians are not responsible for this; no - we are, the electorate. When presented with the choice between the promise of a tax cut or increase / improved services, we choose tax cuts every time. Meanwhile your country and mine drowns in poverty. Shame on us.
