I continue to be amazed at how cavalier newspapers are now about just canceling the print edition. If people only knew the extreme lengths we once went to to make sure the Kitsap Sun had a printed edition EVERY DAY.

The laugh I got from this made my subscription to @highkin.bsky.social's newsletter worth it, I'm definitely re-upping. Not sure how I feel about it as a Blazers fan tho.

Tried the new Zen Ramen & Sushi Burrito (at the former Hi-Lo Cafe at 15th & Wycoff in Bremerton) on Wednesday, their opening night. Good ramen, cool atmoshphere. Line was out the door & they sold out of food by 8 p.m.

I get it, but a daily just ... not printing for a day would've been a big deal in newspaper circles not too long ago. We used to go to some pretty extreme lengths to get the Kitsap Sun (not yet on bluesky) printed back in the day.
