It was a crisp, clear day to drop by the scene of our first peaceful transfer of power, Congress Hall, where Washington departed from the Presidency in 1797, with the inauguration of John Adams. An unbroken tradition until TFG sent thugs to disrupt the electoral count. Now the tradition is restored.
