This was one of the big mental obstacles I had when I was considering HRT.

That questline had so many great bits, but the absolute lack of impact it had on the rest of the game really detracts from the experience as a whole. I miss quests that had a tangible effect on the world, before Todd decided that everyone should be able to see the entire game on one save.
