Earthbend is like army tokens from amass, if you're familiar. It's a 0/0 with +1/+1 counters. So base power 7/7 on an earthbending 1 land would be a 7/7 creature with a +1/+1 counter, for a 8/8 creature, then reverts back to a 0/0 with a +1/+1 counter becoming a 1/1 creature.
