Man that sucks. I grew up on The Beach Boys. Which a bit weird thinking about it - it was the '90s.

It's very different! Sci-fi but not in the deliberately obtuse way that a lot seems to be.
If you want my "book of the year" so far though...that would be Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. Might even be in my top 20 of all time.

I just cannot get into it. It's beautiful, smooth and beguiling but, for whatever reason, I just don't want to play it. 😔
