Absolutely.
I had written books 1 and 2. Was working on 3 when inspiration struck. Wanted to go in a different direction. Modern, slightly futuristic. Have a roadmap for the next year or two. But needed to get the WW2 trilogy out of the way. A niche genre. I could be wrong to do this though.

Absolutely.

Or… as was the point with my latest… the finishing of a longer project - a trilogy - that I know has emotional impact but isn’t commercial, while focusing my energy on what comes next.
Not every launch needs fanfare. Not every book has to be a bestseller. Some can be allowed to be quiet.
