This week, we’re featuring 2024 alumna Sydney Walsh, who earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science and Geography at Villanova. Currently, Sydney is working at WSP (U.S.) in Connecticut as an Early-Career Hydrogeologist.

On Friday, November 21, 12 of GEV's undergrads presented posters at VU's Student Research Symposium. They explored research topics from microplastics in urban organisms to deicing practices to public perceptions of air pollution using a wide variety of research methods and means.

On Monday, November 10, Ocean Environments (GEV 4322) visited PhilaPort. They were awed by the size and scope of the operation and the amount of goods that pass through the Port of Philadelphia each day. Thanks to Tummona Fisher for hosting our class!

On November 14 and 15, GEV's MSES students Emily Myers and Prottoy Roy presented posters at the Middle States Division of the American Association of Geographers (MSDAAG) annual conference at Montclair State University. Big shout out to our amazing graduate students doing great things!

This week, we’re featuring 2016 alumna Briana Brown, who earned her Bachelor’s in Geography and French at Villanova in 2016. She went on to get her Master's from Penn State in GIS. Currently, Briana is working at Ecopia AI as Senior Director of Product Management & Marketing.
