I'm increasingly convinced that the vast majority of "AI safety" work has been intended all along to perpetuate the AI bubble by churning out bullshit studies to create the impression that these machines are good at something—anything at all—even if that something happens to be bad.
Punishing AI for lying and cheating might not be such a good idea after all
