i am curious if, should you ship of theseus the array by replacing disks one at a time, once that's done the array is able to use a bigger size than what it was originally made on

say i start with 4x4TB drives

replace them one at a time til i have 4x8TB drives

will all 8TB be used on each or...?

what i am seeing about RAID 10

- i need to add new drives in pairs (because of the mirroring)
- the array will only use as much space on each drive as the smallest drive in the array
