Cybersecurity, cricket, soccer, technology, gardening, crypto, cooking, stocks, startups are just a few of my favorite things!
From personal experience, yes. Very measurable. Need only 3 coders now to produce same output compared to 20 before! Is this true for the whole market? That, I am not sure.

We are seeing a definite improvement in pace of code production in my company. I can see these kinds of issues as more akin to teething troubles. AI in the hands of experienced engineers is a force multiplier.

New NOFO issued by the NTIA on BEAD last week. Section 3 on Technology Neutrality may pique your interest as well as elimination of the consumer protections section. www.ntia.gov/sites/defaul...

Are you sure the media (like Bloomberg) did not have anything to do with 'everyone losing their minds'? Hope it was a wake up call not just for the AI industry but also the 'AI hype' industry (aka news media). Tech reporting standards have fallen badly over the decades.

Minority report comes alive! This may be an early test bed for the algorithm.

Agreed. But have to admit- there is a Jerry Springer kind of allure to this that makes me want to watch at least 'some' part of it. The same part of my brain that rubber necks when approaching car wrecks ...

Yes and no. Yes, it is a huge blow to security and privacy. No because 99.99% of the public likely do not care or do not understand why. This news will be lost in about 2 days time under the weight of all other crap flying around in the name of news.

No one will care if it is hidden under the price. The price paid needs to be in line items so that people see the impact of the tariffs and the fact that we are the ones footing the bill. But that being said, it will be good to see some evidence of your claim though ...

Will be very interested in hearing about your findings! People need to hear whether or not Musk is covering up his conflicts of interest.

$45B in BEAD funds is up for grabs. The requirements on the tech would have precluded Starlink but in comes Brendan Carr and removes them. It will be good to investigate how much money Starlink ends up getting from BEAD because before they weren't going to get any.

So, TikTok goes from a Chinese controlled state media machine to a US controlled state media machine then? What are the checks and balances?

Click bait headline. How is that good journalism?

Most people are NOT going to download the model and run it locally on their own machines. They are going to use the app. The app privacy policy explicitly states they send data to servers in China (posted that separately). I can talk about the tech too but moot if you don't understand this risk.

This snippet from DeepSeek's Privacy Policy should start to hit some headlines after all the stock manipulation is done.

'Traffic' could be bots on either platform. The real metrics are engagement and eventually conversions. Those numbers drive advertiser $. People have short memories and $ will flow once Musk's antics fade in to memory.

They got banned for a reason. If readers adopt these 'viable options' and are exposed to the same dangers, are you willing to accept the liability? This an opportunity to discuss the real issues of privacy and cybersecurity rather than provide click bait. www.nandisecurity.com/blog/tiktokban
The TikTok ban - one mole whacked, a million more to go
The Supreme Court just upheld the TikTok ban essentially accepting the risks the app poses to our privacy and cybersecurity in the context of national security. But why isn't this a broader conversati...

If this is the attitude of the 'doom scrolling' generation, it gives me less faith that we will ever have a national privacy law that applies to all devices, apps and websites irrespective of origin. For those who actually care and understand the implications of losing our data, DIY your defense.
