The 90s-2000s mid-budget writing-forward studio seasonal film not being a thing anymore is truly what has put theaters in jeopardy IMO. 😤
We truly had a heyday of 20-45mil passion-project films. Superbad or Forgetting Sarah Marshall are prime examples.
