Wildlife SOS cares for some of the sickest, severely injured and traumatised elephants, and Peanut was no different. She had good days and bad days, but her rapid decline stunned even our expert veterinarians who worked feverishly to save her.

for miles in her natural home and raise her own children surrounded by family. She could have lived to be a grandmother of 70 or even 80 years old. All of this was stolen from her for human amusement.

Unfortunately,we have already started gathering information for the 2025 Vigil with poor Dunja being the first captive death.

Once again we will distinguish circus, zoo & tourist attraction deaths in one colour on the banner and sanctuary deaths in another color
