I get what you’re saying, but every single play on every single broadcast is like this. It’s like a bunch of old guys curmudgeonly refused to change anything when everyone went from 4:3 to 16:9 TVs saying “we always did it this way.”

It’s like a chord chart. It gives you the frame work, and then you learn to fight with it, massage it, throw some funk in the mix and keep rehashing it until it’s maddeningly, frustratingly just shy of perfect.

But there is something that needs fixing here. Nobody is watching on a 4:3 TV anymore. Why do we still use the old framing and haven't we shifted the pre-snap angle to the right so we can see the defensive secondary instead of empty space behind the backs?
