There’s always more to improve on. Realism isn’t just textures and resolution. It’s physics, animation, lighting, sound design, etc. There’s so much more to improve on. If you have the budget, go for it. If you don’t, don’t overstep boundaries. It’s super expensive to go the realistic route.

Bro RDR in 2010 WAS a looker. It was considered one of the most realistic and beautiful games at the time. Saying to not “waste money” on that while using a game that did exactly that as an example is a bit ignorant.

It should set industry standards for polish ONLY (assuming that it comes polished). The idea of setting a standard for the entire industry from a studio with basically unlimited man power, time, and money is unfair. Rockstar is great, but they’re uniquely great.
